Preparation
Trained Emmons Roof Service
technicians will inspect your roof membrane. They will power wash with high
pressure (using a minimum 1000 psi at 6 g.p.m.), and vigorously broom as
necessary to clean the existing surface. All loose coating, dirt, debris and/or
any other contamination will be removed to achieve a suitable surface for
application. Gravel roof systems will be vacuumed.
Repairs
We will repair all membrane
splits, blisters, fishmouths, or any other surface defects, which by remaining,
will not provide a sound and smooth surface for attachment of the overlay
system. We will replace any sheet metal flashing that is deteriorated or as
needed to achieve a waterproof roof.

Once the
cleaning and repair work is completed, we will spray a coat of asphalt
emulsion, and while still wet, embed one layer polyester membrane followed
immediately by one additional coat of asphalt emulsion. After the first
application is dry, we will apply one additional coat of asphalt emulsion.
Existing gravel roof systems may require an additional layer of
polyester.

Final
Coat
When the above membranes
are cured, we will then spray one coat of asphalt base aluminum roof coating
and/or apply two coats of white acrylic roof coating.

for five years. To obtain a ten-year guarantee, we will spray the last coat of
